Scientific visual communication for pharma, biotech and medical

Making visible what acts in the invisible.

Your treatments and devices act at a scale that neither your audience nor any camera can reach. We make their mode of action understandable — to explain, convince, train, secure funding and reassure.

We don’t start from a medium, but from your challenge. Depending on the problem, the answer is a 3D animation, a virtual reality experience, a set of illustrations or an interactive application. The right tool, not the usual one.

Let’s talk about your project Let’s schedule a 30-min video call

Ten years of research can hinge on a few minutes: in front of a prescriber, an investor, a patient. The obstacle is almost never the quality of the science. It’s the gap between what you know and what your audience perceives. Our job is to close that gap.

What we solve:

Every problem has its visual solutions.

Each situation below corresponds to projects actually delivered for laboratories, biotechs, medical device manufacturers and animal health players. Recognize yours.

Explain

Making a mode of action no one can observe understandable

Your treatment’s efficacy plays out at the scale of the receptor, the cell, the tissue — where no camera can go. As long as the mechanism stays abstract, your efficacy data remain numbers. We turn the mode of action into accurate images, step by step, so a prescriber understands it — and remembers it.

Sanofi – The process of non-specific innate immunity and targeted adaptive immunity. Deleo - Cellulite treatments. Berkem - The mode of action of a molecule developed from natural substances found in the leaves of certain fruit trees.

Convince

Making an impact in medical sales calls and at congresses

A doctor gives you a few minutes, a congress attendee a few seconds. In that time, your teams have to bring a mechanism, a device, a difference to life. We give them tools that do the demonstration for them: the product is understood by seeing it work — or by handling it.

Ceraver — Ceradisc, cervical implants in real-time 3D. KeriMedical — Reaxon app: nerve reconstruction in real-time 3D. Nordic Pharma — Hyalobarrier gel, protection against adhesions following surgery.

Train

Enseigner un geste ou un dispositif sans exposer de patient

A surgical procedure or the handling of a device can’t be learned from an instruction leaflet, and the operating room is not a place to learn. We reconstruct anatomy and the procedure in 3D: the operation is seen from the inside, repeated risk-free and passed on to everyone who needs to master it.

KeriMedical — placement of a trapeziometacarpal joint implant. Rhythmology Institute, Bordeaux University Hospital — technology for certain cardiac procedures. Dr Abboud – short excerpt on breast plastic surgery

Fund

Showcasing your pipeline to investors and partners

A biotech lives by the rhythm of its fundraising rounds and partnerships — and often tells its story in a language only its peers understand. In front of an investor, clarity is worth as much as the data. We turn your science into a narrative, pitched at exactly the right level for the intended audience.

Mapreg — treating depression by restoring microtubules. StromaCare — a cancer approach through stroma modulation. Iktos — artificial intelligence for the discovery of new molecules.

Reassure

Winning the buy-in of patients and the general public

A poorly understood treatment is a poorly followed treatment — or a refused one. Patients, caregivers, the general public: their trust can’t be decreed, it’s built with accurate explanations, free of jargon without being dumbed down. We make it accessible without betraying it: the same science, told at everyone’s level.

Sanofi — vaccination explained in two versions, general public and researchers; viral infection and the immune response. Groupe Sebbin — 3D device leaflet, designed to be shown to patients. INSERM — restoring ovarian function.

Laboratories that keep coming back.

Nordic Pharma

10 ans de collaboration

A pharmaceutical company that has trusted us for over ten years. Touchscreen apps for their auto-injectors, used by their sales teams; 3D animated films for several of their products; scientific illustrations; posters; and a site in ten languages designed as an interactive video instruction leaflet. Ten years, product after product.

Sanofi

8 ans de collaborations

A collaboration that has grown year after year: making vaccination accessible in two versions (general public and researchers), viral-vector therapeutic vaccines, gene therapy, the mode of action of an anti-cancer molecule, virtual factories, illustrations.

Laboratoires Brothier

An entire range in pictures

Algostéril, Trionic, dressings: film after film, the company’s complete range brought to life in images, with the same validation requirements for every product.

Phileo (groupe Lesaffre)

Five films for a worldwide range

Animal health: five 3D animated films on their supplements for livestock farming (poultry, pigs, calves, shrimp), adapted for international markets. Proof that the same scientific rigor applies from human health to animal health.

What these relationships show: when a company entrusts us with its scientific communication, it doesn’t entrust only part of it — and it comes back. A single point of contact who already understands your constraints — scientific and regulatory — rather than several agencies to brief and coordinate.

Pourquoi Imascience

Science before image.

Your therapeutic area, our field

Oncology, immunology, gene therapy, implantable devices: we have been handling the most demanding mechanisms since 2012. An accurate image first requires exact understanding, and every visual is validated by your experts before release.

The medium serving the challenge

3D animation, virtual reality, illustration, interactive application: we choose the register based on the problem, not on a specialty we need to sell.

Your regulatory constraints, built in

We know medical and regulatory validation cycles (MLR) and structure production to fit them. Molecules in development, pre-approval data: we work under confidentiality agreements, and everything is produced in-house.

CII accreditation

Your project may be partly funded by the CII (French innovation tax credit).

Imascience holds the CII (French innovation tax credit) accreditation, issued by the French Ministry of Research. If your project is part of an innovation effort, the work you entrust to us may qualify for the CII. We’ll tell you from our first conversation whether your project is eligible.

Let’s talk about your challenge.

Tell us what you need to make clear — a mode of action, a device, a pipeline — and to whom. We’ll tell you how to make it obvious, and whether we’re the right partner to do it.

Let's discuss your project Let’s schedule a 30-min video call

The questions you’re asking yourself.

Our therapeutic area is highly specialized: will you really understand it?

It's been our field since 2012: antibodies, gene therapy, implantable devices, cardiac rhythm management. Every project begins with an immersion in your publications and a conversation with your medical teams, and nothing is released without their validation. An accurate image first requires exact understanding.

How do you handle our medical and regulatory validation cycles?

We build them into the schedule instead of enduring them: short milestones (scoping, script, key frames, final render), tracked versions, documented revisions. Your medical, regulatory and legal teams validate at each stage — never faced with a done deal.

Our molecules are in development: what confidentiality guarantees do you offer?

We have worked under confidentiality agreements for years, including on pre-approval data. Your documents don't circulate, published references can be anonymized, and all Imascience work is produced in-house. No leaks possible.

Why a 3D animation rather than a film shoot or diagrams?

Because most of what you need to show is invisible: a receptor, a signaling cascade, the inside of a device in operation. 3D shows what no camera will ever film, and the film evolves with your dossier — new indication, new dosage — instead of being remade.

How much of our medical teams' time will this require?

Little, and at specific moments. We start from what exists (publications, monographs, technical documentation) and come back to your experts at short milestones. Between these milestones, we move forward on our own. Your physicians validate; they don't produce.

What budget should we plan for, and how do we make the investment pay off?

The budget depends on the duration, the level of detail and the chosen medium: we quote it after an initial conversation, with no commitment. The return comes from reuse: a single film serves at congresses, on medical sales rep visits, on your website and in internal training, for years. And if your project is part of an innovation process, our CII (French innovation tax credit) accreditation can fund part of it.
