Case study in a primary school

A 3D application to discover the journey of milk

At IMASCIENCE, our scientific illustrators and web developers fully designed and built an interactive application for the Jeunes Agriculteurs des Pays de la Loire.

Available on Android tablets and phones, this 3D application is aimed at a young audience and explains the journey of milk.

A farm was reproduced virtually with every stage involved in milk production. Children can wander freely, follow a treasure-hunt-style path and earn points by completing steps.

Does a 3D animation really beat a good slideshow?

Yes, when the subject calls for it: an animation shows what no photo can capture — inside a process, an invisible phenomenon, a technical gesture broken down step by step. And interactivity changes the learner's status: they handle, make mistakes, try again. We remember what we do far better than what we watch.

Our trainers already have their content: how do you work with them?

We start from what exists: course materials, standards, field feedback. Your trainers step in at short milestones to frame the learning objectives and validate the content. They stay in charge of the substance; we take care of the visuals and interactivity.

What devices will the tool run on?

We develop web, touch and mobile applications that adapt to your equipment: tablets, touchscreens, classroom computers, with offline operation if your context requires it. No imposed hardware: we start from what your learners already have in hand.

Our programs evolve: will everything need redoing every year?
